Digging Straight Through It
This piece is a depiction of my thoughts on breaking through my artistic influences. It is about forming a position in art that has never been described to me. I'm really using art to expand my surrounding boundaries. There are many forms of omission and many forms of addition in this work which have to do with scaling the impact of my art past realism or abstraction. This piece draws on art movements like cubism and abstract expressionism of the 20th century but it leaves the rules of engagement open, and it is my purpose to offer novelty for mental constructions when viewing this work of art.
